I'll stamp all over 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
