In a unexpected partnership that defies conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Revealed
According to the authorized statement, "An unusual meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of banned practices and monstrous changes echo through the darkness." The narrative introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden cult.
The mission concentrates on "strange tests and a fearsome adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Changes
The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Additional Features
Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana alongside several items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-based outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe
